He is a tall, muscular defenseman with power but lack speed. He was one of the co-captains of the team along with London and Roy. The eight-year veteran has a total of 78 games of MHL experience in three years getting called up and sent down in a minor league limbo. Spent last 4 years with the team.

He suffered a very poor season. The presence of Alexei threatens his status as team enforcer and top defenseman. His play was lackluster prompting Gilles to constantly criticize him. It hit to a boiling point when both came to blows after a game earning him a three game suspension from the team. During his suspension coach Francis re-evaluated his current and past performances. Put on pressure to perform it didn’t help unknowingly Gilles, in attendance and disguise, heckled him throughout the game leading fans into it. He ended up playing terribly in the game. The next day coach stripped him of his co-captaincy and demoted to third line defense prompting him to trash the locker room in anger. After losing London to a freak injury the team bonded together to battle for the last playoff spot. It ended with a loss against the Barons. His down season ended on a high note scoring his only goal of the season in the last game of the season.

Wendell hopes to bounce back from a terrible season putting it behind him. He’s motivated to earn back his first line and co-captaincy spot.
